Schlep (real name Michael) is a famous YouTuber with millions of subscribers. He became famous for exposing child predators on Roblox.

As per Rolling Stone, he himself was a victim once as a teenager. He was groomed by a contracted Roblox developer, which eventually led to a suicide attempt.

When his mother contacted Roblox seeking help, the company was initially unresponsive until she threatened legal action. Even then, Roblox claimed the abuse happened “on another platform,” despite the predator being a contracted developer the company promoted at events. 

As an adult, this traumatic experience motivated Schlep to start exposing predators. He used “decoy” accounts pretending to be minors (below 18) on Roblox. He would let adults initiate inappropriate conversations, gather evidence, then work with law enforcement to arrange real-world meetups where police would arrest the suspects.

He intended to cooperate with Roblox by arresting the suspects. He claims to have helped secure six arrests through this method. But later, Roblox banned Schlep in August 2025, calling his activities “vigilantism.”

The company stated that “taking the law into your hands isn’t safe” and cited concerns about his methods, including “simulated child endangerment conversations.“

In November 2025, Schlep released a 36-minute video claiming Roblox’s Head of Security, Matt Kaufman, reached out to him to “discuss the ban.” Schlep publicly called this a “self-serving PR move” and his legal team is still moving forward with a countersuit as of 2026.

However, Roblox is currently facing backlash after banning Schlep. He was actually helping Roblox to find predators, but the company sent him a legal notice.
